Dungeon Defenders is a game that mixes elements of tower defense maps with action RPG combat, levelling and looting for an extremely addictive experience. It's currently available for purchase off digital distrubutors such as Steam and Direct2Drive, among others, for a steal at £10 (or $15). And the best news of all, it's soon going to become open source for practically unlimited modding potential along with the UDK (Unreal Development Kit) that has been used to create the game.
